Who They Are
A graphic design studio based in New York City that specializes in branding for local businesses
The Project
The owner of Hapigrafix reached out to me with a simple request "here's my current site and here's what I wish it looked like" (pull quote). The current site was being hosted on a 3rd party website creator. Since the creator uses nothing but templates, the site didn't look anything the way they wanted it to look. They showed me a PSD and asked if there was anything I can do to bring their vision to life.
The Result
Going off of a PSD design, I created the structure of the site in HTML and CSS. Also, hapigrafix really wanted to emphasize the art that they were creating. We decided upon the creation of a lightbox effect that would highlight the vibrant colors of their work.
Project Features
Custom Lightbox
A lightbox is a technique where you take a high-res image and place it inside of dark background container. The container has the effect of darkening out all other distractions on the page so that the image is the sole focus.
The lightbox would display whenever a user would click on an image in a gallery.
